One day IEEE Workshop on “New Gen Technologies”

REPORT ON ONE DAY IEEE WORKSHOP ON “NEW GEN TECHNOLOGIES” 25.01.2018

Sriram Engineering College, Perumalpattu organized a One day IEEE Workshop on “New Gen Technologies” on 25.01.2018. The Guest speakers were Mr.C.Saravanan, Senior Technology Delivery Lead and Mr.K.Jayaganapathy, SAP Consultant. The Workshop was Inaugurated at 10.00 a.m. in the College Auditorium and around 170 participants from various Engineering Colleges in and around Chennai took part in the Workshop.

The Workshop was started with an Invocation, Kuthuvilakku Lighting, followed by the Welcome address by Dr.S.Manikandan, VP Admin & Head –CSE. A brief introduction about the Workshop was given by Dr.T.S.Geetha, IEEE Students Branch Counselor. The Chief Guest Mr.C. Saravanan, Senior Technology Delivery Lead was introduced by Ms.S.Sargunavathi Head Incharge –ECE. The Principal Dr.S.R.Kannan honored the Guest Speaker Mr.C.Sarvanan followed by his Inaugural address.

Mr.K.Jayaganapathy, SAP Consultant was introduced by Dr.P.Sarvanan Placement & Head-EEE and was honored by Dr.S. Manikandan, VP Admin & Head –CSE. The Guest Speaker addressed the gathering. The Felicitation address was given by the Principal, Dr.S.R.Kannan. The IEEE Students Branch Chairman Ms.Susanna proposed the Vote of thanks.

There was a great response from various Engineering Colleges for the Workshop. The Students of EEE Department explained their Project kits to the Guest Speakers and the participants. There were two sessions which addressed Top 10 New IT skills, as per current and future trends (2017-2020). In Session 1, the topics included Data Science, Project Management, Cyber Security, Networking Professionals, UI/UX Design/Development. The Session -2 was conducted in the afternoon which had in-depth knowledge in QA/Testing, Cloud Engineering, BIG DATA, Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence, DevOps.

The participants had a great day with a wide exposure on the New Gen Technologies. Certificates was issued at the end of the day to all the participants.
