The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department has organized National levelTechnical symposium – ELECTECZ 2K18 on 25-9.2018. The inaugural function was held at 10.30 am. The Inauguration started with Tamizhthaivaazhu followed by lightening of kuthuVillaku . The symposium was launched with warm welcoming address by Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Dr. P. Saravanan stating the importance and identity of the symposium. Dr. S.R. Kannan, Principal, Sriram Engineering college has addressed the gathering and stated a key note on 5 main electrical inventions that changed the world. He congratulated the department head, staff members and the students for their team work and wished them a grand success.
It is followed by the introduction of chief guest by Ms. V. Sangeetha, Assistant Professor – EEE. The chief guest was honored by the Principal S.R. Kannan. It is followed by the inaugural address of the chief guest Mr. V. Ganesh Kumar, Director E-Synch security solutions, Chennai. He advised the students not only to be a consumer to be also as producer so that more industries will flourish in India.
The souvenir was released by the dignities, staff coordinator and the student coordinator in the stage Finally Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. S. Sankar, Professor – Electrical and Electronics Engineering
After a small refreshment All the technical and non technical events was organized in the EEE department. There was a great response from various Engineering college for the symposium. More than 180 students from various other institution has participated in the technical and non-technicalevents. Out of 180 students 70 students participated in the paper presentation.The paper present was held in the EEE department the students showed more interest to participate in technical events
All the events were completed by 3.00Pm and the winners for the all the events were decided by the event coordinators. Valedictory function started by 3.30 P.M.Cash prize of Rs 500/-has been given for the 1st prize and Rs 300/- has been given for the 2nd prize for paper presentation and for all the other events 1st and 2nd places are rewarded with the gifts remaining all the participants are encouraged with the participation certificate Finally students shared their feedback about the event and expressed their experience in the college premises.The function was finally ended by thanking management, Principal, HOD, Faculties, Non-teaching staff, our sponsors and all student coordinators who worked for this event to make this event a grand success.
