About the chief guest:

Dr. G. S. VenkataRatnam is the senior principal scientist and scientist in charge at chemical; engineering pilot plant cell for industrial safety and risk analysis, chemical engineering division in central leather research institute ,adyar. He pursued his UG &PG in chemical engineering from National institute of technology, Warangal. He has completed his doctoral study on the pressure drop, liquid up and interfacial areas in concurrent gas-liquid down flow through packed beds from IIT madras. He has a work experience of 28 years and has handled 19 types of industrial projects from refineries, fertilizer plant, pharmaceutical drug units, chloro alkali industries, leather chemicals etc. He has published 28 research papers in various national & international journals.
