Sriram Engineering College celebrated Thai Pongal with great enthusiasm on 10 January 2026. Students and staff members gathered to offer their devotions to the Sun God, marking the festival with traditional rituals and joy. Girl students beautifully drew Pongal kolams and rangoli, adding color and cultural elegance to the campus. Students from all departments actively participated and prepared different varieties of sweet Pongal, showcasing creativity and teamwork.The celebration was honored by the presence of a special guest, Mr. Moses, a popular personality from Vijay TV, well known for his appearance in Kalakapovathu Yaaru. His presence added excitement and inspiration to the event.All students actively participated in the celebrations, making the occasion lively and memorable. The Pongal festivities began energetically and were followed by traditional games such as Uriyadi and tug-of-war, which were enthusiastically enjoyed by everyone.The entire campus was filled with vibrant colors, cultural spirit, and happiness as students celebrated the festival together, showcasing unity and tradition.

The event featured Special Guest Mr. Moses, a popular personality from Vijay TV's Kalakapovathu Yaru season 10. Students and faculty members came together to enjoy the festive spirit. The celebration included traditional activities like Uriyadi (a game where participants break a pot blindfolded), rope strike, and kolam (beautiful rangoli designs). The students displayed their energy and joy through a lively dance performance, further enhancing the festive mood. Everyone, including the chief guest, Mr. Moses, had a wonderful time, making it a memorable event for the entire college community.
