The 79th Independence Day of India was celebrated by Sriram Educational Institutions on 15th August 2025. Many staff members and students from all the constituents institutions participated in the program. Dr. Dattatreya, Principal of Sriram Polytechnic College, hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day address.
Sriram Engineering College celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm on 21st June 2025. Students and staff members actively participated in guided yoga sessions conducted on campus, promoting physical fitness, mental wellness, and inner peace. The event highlighted the theme "The nature of yoga is to shine the light of awareness into the darkest corners of the body" and encouraged a healthy lifestyle for all participants.
Sriram Engineering College successfully organized an International Conference on the Nexus of Knowledge Using AI & IoT (ICNKAI-2K25) on April 11, 2025. Nearly 188 students participated enthusiastically in both online and offline sessions from various colleges. The event featured Dr. M. Omkumar, Professor & Head, Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, as Chief Guest, who delivered insightful perspectives on integrating AI and IoT into modern engineering practices.

On the Sixteenth anniversary of the late Shri M. E. Devarajan, founder of the Sriram Group of Institutions, a commemorative ceremony was held at Perumalpattu Campus on 1st September 2024.
During this significant event, the Secretary, Principal, Campus Director, and staff members gathered to honor his memory at the statue dedicated to him on the college premises.
This solemn occasion was a tribute to Shri Devarajan's enduring contributions and vision, reflecting on the lasting impact he has had on the institution and its values.

The event, held at the Sriram Engineering College premises in Perumalpattu, was a collaborative effort between Chennai Arima Sangam and the Sriram Group of Institutions.
Both students and staff members participated enthusiastically, honoring his legacy through this significant act of giving.
