    Seminar on “Conserve Oil and Gas – Go Green” on 09.02.2026 delivered by Dr.G.Thiagu, Sustainability Scientist, New bee Group of companies and Cofounder ES Guard Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

    • Department of ECE and EEE organized a seminar on “Conserve Oil and Gas – Go Green” on 9.2.26 under SAKSHAM 2025-26, sponsored by Geo India Foundation with the objective of creating awareness about energy conservation, environmental protection, and sustainable living practices.
    • The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Sreedevi AOP/EEE. Our Principal, Dr. B.R. Ramesh Bapu, gave the presidential address followed by the keynote session by the resource person Dr. G.Thiagu, Sustainability Scientist. The speaker highlighted the importance of conserving oil and gas resources, emphasizing their limited availability and the environmental issues caused by excessive fossil fuel consumption. Participants were encouraged to adopt renewable energy sources and energy-efficient practices in their daily lives.
    • A special focus of the seminar was on the concept of the circular economy. The resource person explained how commonly used materials such as milk covers can be collected, reused, and recycled instead of being discarded, thereby reducing plastic waste and conserving natural resources.
    • As part of the programme, all participants took a pledge to conserve oil and gas, reduce energy consumption, and follow eco-friendly practices.
    • To symbolize the commitment towards a greener future, the resource person gifted a sapling to a student, encouraging tree plantation and environmental responsibility.
    • The seminar concluded with an interactive session and a vote of thanks. The programme was informative, inspiring and motivating participants to actively contribute towards energy conservation and environmental sustainability. The seminar ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. L. Sivagami, Head/ECE.
