    Programmes Offered Description
M.E. Manufacturing Engineering - 2 YearsStarted with 18 seats during academic year 2015-2016

    About The Department

The P.G course M.E Manufacturing Engineering was introduced in the department of mechanical engineering in 2015. M.E Manufacturing Engineering of Sriram Engineering College started functioning from the year 2015 with a sanctioned intake of 18 students per annum. Manufacturing Engineering integrates highly different and exciting technologies and disciplines, such as design, robotics, mechatronics, micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS), manufacturing systems and control, and green manufacturing, into a widespread educational program. Manufacturing engineers are in high demand throughout the world. Manufacturing engineering often affords the opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration, with applications across all other engineering fields. Graduates completing the program are well prepared to enter industry or proceed directly to graduate study in specialized research in manufacturing engineering or related fields such as management and patent law. Many graduates build on their understanding of both the production process and its economic aspects to pursue careers in management and consulting.

After completion of the PG course in Manufacturing, the students will be equipped to carry out researches in the fields of CAD/CAM/CIM/ROBOTICS, micro machining, electronics manufacturing, rapid prototyping and composite materials.
