To be the Premier Research & Development Center in the Country and to be able to make major contributions to the socioeconomic development of the society using Science, Engineering, Technology and multi disciplinary fields and to create a center of excellence in the emerging technologies.

OBJECTIVE

The Research and Development (R & D) Cell aims to nurture research culture in the Institution by promoting research in newly emerging and challenging areas of Engineering, Technology and Science.

To enhance the general research capability of faculty and students by way of participating in conferences, seminars, workshops, project Expo’s etc.

R & D cell creates awareness and opportunities in Research and Development among the students and encourages faculty members and students to submit proposals for financial support from various funding agencies.

ACTIVITIES

• To create adequate funding for research
• To promote more MoUs with leading Industries for enhancing the consultancy and research activities
• To provide a platform for sharing available research facilities.
• To recommend incentives for outstanding research articles, projects, research proposals and patents.
• To monitor the progress of the researchers, programs and projects of the Institution.
• To identify thrust areas of research, evaluate and disseminate research outcomes.
• To motivate faculty and students to present/publish Research paper in reputed national & international journals.
• To take up industry-based projects funded by AICTE, DST, DRDO, CSIR and other funding agencies.
• Conducting various Faculty Development programs, Workshops, Conferences and Seminars with the association of various organizations like CSIR, ISTE, IEEE, Anna University and AICTE.
