Sriram Educational Trust was created under the Deed of Declaration of Trust dated 20.10.1983 as a PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST for the purpose of establishing educational institutions for the benefit of Telugu Linguistic Minorities living in the State of Tamil Nadu.

With the prime objective of promoting higher and technical education, during the last two decades the Trust has developed and started the following educational institutions under its fold.

Best infrastructure facilities are provided to these institutions which are further strengthened with specialization in the field of Engineering, Science and Technology, Arts, Humanities, Social Services, Business Management etc. Further the cluster of institutions offers a spectrum of diversified courses in post graduate, graduate and diploma education.

The students strength of all these institutions will be around 5000. For outstation students admitted in the institutions, a Gents Hostel and a Womens hostel with excellent facilities and a canteen providing hygienic food are available inside the campus of the institutions.

Greetings and Welcome to Sriram Engineering College!

Prof. B.R. Ramesh Bapu is an esteemed academician and Mechanical Engineer with over 35 years of distinguished experience in teaching and research. He earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, followed by dual master’s degrees in Engineering from Madras University and BITS, Pilani. His doctoral research, completed at JNTU, Hyderabad in May 2005, highlights his deep expertise in his field.

Dr. Ramesh Bapu has secured significant research funding from prominent agencies such as the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), and the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST). His consultancy work spans various industries, where he has provided solutions for automation and semi-automation in manufacturing and assembly lines.

As a former Principal, he played a crucial role in maintaining his college’s position in the top 10 out of over 450 and above affiliated colleges in the state. His leadership emphasized quality education, robust placement training, strong industry connections, and fostering entrepreneurial skills among students.

Under his guidance, 14 Ph.D. scholars have successfully completed their research, earning their degrees from esteemed institutions including Anna University Chennai, JNTU Anantapur, JNTU Kakinada, and Sathyabama University. Dr. Ramesh Bapu is dedicated to ensuring that the quality of education provided is on par with leading global technical institutions.
