The Computer Science and Engineering department has organized a National Level Technical Symposium PIXELS 2K18 on 19/9/2018. The Inaugural function was held at 10.00 am in Main Auditorium. The Chief Guest Mr. B. VEERARAGHAVAN, Director (Sales and Operations), Adroit Technologies Innovative Solutions Private Limited inaugurated the Symposium. The function commenced with prayer song followed by lighting KuthuVillaku. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. N. Sankarram, Professor – CSE followed by the Speech about the Symposium by Student Co-ordinator Mr. S. Augustin. The Chief Guest was introduced by Dr.S.Manikandan, HOD-CSE. The chief guest was honored by Principal Dr. S. R. Kannan. Then the Chief Guest gave the inaugural address. He insisted on taking certificate courses by all the students in their area of interest which will be helpful for them to equip themselves and get placement in that filed. Finally Vote of thanks was proposed by the Staff coordinator Mrs. N.Belina, Asst. professor.
All technical and non-technical events were conducted in CSE department in various rooms. Students from 30 different colleges like S.A Engg. college, SRM University, Velammal Engg. college, Panimalar Engg. college, RMK Engg. College & all other surrounding colleges were participated. Total count of 200 students registered for different events and in particular 60 papers for Paper Presentation, 84 students for Technical Quiz, 80 students for coding & decoding, 48 students for Treasure hunt, 70 students for Gaming & Surprise events. All events were completed by 3pm with the winners list. Lunch was provided for all participants, co-coordinators and faculties.
Valedictory function started at 3.15 pm. Prizes for winners and Participation certificates were distributed to students of different colleges. Cash Prize of Rs. 700 has been given for 1st Place and Rs. 500 for 2nd Place. Along with cash Prize vouchers and various gift items were also given to winners. The function was finally ended by thanking management, Principal, HOD, Faculties, Non-teaching staff, our sponsors and all student coordinators who worked for this event to make this event a grand success.
